Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas in season 8
He’s smart. He’s cute. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them.
His son David Zayas Jr
plays his father in some shots, as the two bear a striking resemblance. Dexter, seen during the first season, has a large scar on his left side. Later in season 2, the scar has moved to the right side while the left side remains unmarked.

Dexter, a forensic expert by day, a vigilante serial killer by night
Dexter creates a compelling and highly detailed portrait, so to speak, of a troubled sociopath. One of my favorite parts of the show is the emotions that normal people show, forcing Dexter to imitate them. A good laugh when Dexter’s fake emotions become real and he goes crazy, like in the relationship with his «girlfriend»; Rita, a mother of two and victim of an abusive ex-boyfriend.
Emotional story, lots of details and one of the best opening sequences ever
I also really liked Jennifer Carpenter’s performance as Dexter’s sister, Debra, who gives the show a nice color without veering into cliché.
